A Magic Place
I wish they’d make these places somewhere in each city. They would have access to the best education available. They’d have an amazing mental health care section. The place would be “new,” meaning they’d paint and clean it every year. It would be run by amazing, loving, friendly people. If kids are sent there, they couldn’t talk about it because I wouldn’t want kids trying to get in. I’d call it a magic place because foster homes, children’s aid society and orphanages sound like horrible places.
If this place existed, I’d call the police on the mother of one of my students who beats her son with a broom handle and feel good about it. I’d know the son would be going to a better place rather than home or social services.
In the end, the principal was told. Social services are acting, but I’m worried.
Teaching is easy, isn’t it?
